In April, we wrote to tell you about the Canadian Czechoslovak Benevolent Association’s (CCBA) Building Fund Drive. At that time, we invited you to partner with the CCBA by helping financially support much needed renovations at our building located at 154 McKenzie Street. On behalf of the CCBA Board of Directors and the entire Czech and Slovak community in Winnipeg, we want to sincerely thank all friends, suporters and business for their contribution.
The contribution will be used to undertake substantial renovations on our building, including the front facade and roof. But more importantly, your contribution will be used to help preserve our building for future generations.
We also want to let you know that our community is coming through! Our goal was to raise $10,000.00 by the end of June and we are happy to tell you that we have come extremely close to reaching that goal. Thanks in part to your contribution, we have raised $6.800.00 to date. We are also very pleased to announce that Provincial government has come through with grant of $13,000.00. Now our challenge is to mach the governments contribution to qualify for the full amount. We think our community can be very proud.
We will be sure to update you as renovations progress both on our Web site and through Ricka Magazine.
Thank you again for your support! Your generosity is appreciated.
The CCBA Board of Directors
